Launched in 2016, Dira Adams is an eponymous knitwear-focused, ready-to-wear label based in New York City.  Using minimal silhouettes and original textures, Dira Adams' collections effortlessly balance art, function, elegance and craftsmanship.

The Dira Adams woman and man are drawn to timeless pieces with unique details.  Fusing earthy tones and intriguing textiles, Dira Adams fulfills their artistic yet modern sensibility.

All collections are sustainably produced in New York and England.

Dira Adams was born and raised in New York City.  She learned how to knit at the age of 18 after being inspired by her late-grandmother's creations.  What began as a crafting hobby, ultimately led Dira to study knitwear design at England's prestigious Nottingham Trent University knitwear program and train with luxury brands including J.W. Anderson.

After working in the fashion and craft industries in both New York and England, she set out to create her own label that would embrace both her unique design aesthetic and traditional textile practices including natural dying and hand-looming.  Embracing old and new creative practices, the designer also develops unique and visually stimulating textiles using digital knitwear technology.

At the core of Dira's brand is fascination with nature, a love textile design, and an in intrigue with this journey called 'life.'
